Santa!!!!!

We went to Matt's Work Christmas Party and Ethan got to sit on Santa's lap for the first time. He wasn't that thrilled at first, but then Santa gave him a present and he thought that was pretty cool.( We noticed Matt's boss, Ward suddenly disappeared right before Santa came and showed back up again right after Santa letf. He missed all the fun)

Recently, I told Matt that I really wanted to help Ethan learn how to drink from a bottle. This REALLY isn't what I had in mind, but I guess it works.

Ethan and Elli

We went to Hyder for Thanksgiving and Ethan had such a good time playing with his cousins. This is a picture of Ethan with his Cousin, Elliana. They were born just about 2 months apart, but Ethan is pretty much twice her size. He really liked playing with her, unfortunately, that resulted in him tackling her to the ground a lot.

Play time

The other day, the grounds crew raked up all the leaves and made a big pile for the kids to play in, so I decided to take Ethan out to play.He's never played in leaves before.He came out pretty dirty, but he had a blast. Now, I know I'm not a professional photographer, but I manged to take quite a few pictures of him and I think they turned out really well. Matt and I like them so much that we're going to get some enlarged and framed. If any one would like a framed copy of any of these, let us know which ones and we'll make sure to get them to you.

The costumes we were planning weren't getting done on time, so we had to throw these together the night before Halloween, but I think they turned out beautifully, even if they were last minute.

Mobile boy

Ethan loves being able to move around. He's even taken to using his walker as a scooter. He pushes with his right foot and just rides around the living room.

Puppy Love

To help Ethan sleep through the night a little better, we bought him a stuffed dog toy to cuddle up to in the night. It actually seems to be working and, as you can see, he likes having a buddy in his crib with him.

I know this is not the most dignified thing to do for family togetherness time, but he looked so cute we just couldn't resist. I think he liked the joke of wearing his pants on his head as well.

I want to be like Daddy

Ethan actually does a very good impersonation of his daddy. (This is early in the morning after Ethan had gotten up about every hour, so please ignore the way his mommy looks in the background)

Bubble Wrap!!!

Ethan discovered the joys of dancing on bubble wrap this week. It really is amazing how babies can make a toy out of anything.

I'm going to Mail myself to you!

We got a package in the mail recently, and of course, Ethan found the box itself much more interesting than the actual contents of the package.

Matt and I recently decorated Ethan's nursery(finally). I sewed the curtains for the closet and window and painted the shelves. I also sewed the bed skirt on the crib and the covers on the book shelf and side table. Matt hung the shelves, the curtains and he hand made the puppet stand.I think it's the coolest part of the room. he certainly worked hard on it.
